Mundane Astrology is the astrology of world events and global trends. This includes a study political and cultural changes as well as such things as natural disasters that have a major impact on society or large groups of people.
Although astrology in modern times tends to focus on the lives of individuals, astrology was originally primarily focused on the affairs of the state and the well-being of the king. Studying astrology from this broader perspective requires special techniques and a more holistic way of thinking.
In this 9 session course we’ll be delving into the various methodologies and techniques used in Mundane Astrology and in the process we’ll be attempting to shed light on our own perplexing global situation. This will entail some amount of reviewing of historical events and how they relate to the current time, and we will also be looking into the future to identify crucial junctures in the years and decades that lie ahead of us.
Amoung the Topics Covered:
- Major synodic cycles, particularly the Jupiter-Saturn cycle.
- Annual and quarterly ingress charts.
- Lunations and Eclipses.
- Location based techniques.
- Natural and man-made disasters.
- Economic cycles.
- Charts of nations and organizations.
- Charts of rulers and influential personalities.
- The Yugas and the Precession of the Equinoxes according to Sri Yukteswar.
Attendance and Recordings
- Lessons will be recorded and sent to all participants soon after each lesson.
- Attending the lessons on Zoom is recommended but if you can’t make it you will be able to stay in step with the recordings.
- Participants will get to keep the recordings for their personal use.
- Some parts of the recorded material may be used for future online publication or in other educational projects and products.
