Aspects, Aspects, Aspects! A Course on Geometric Astrology

An Intensive Course over Six Consecutive Sundays:
11 January to 15 February 2026, 18:00 GMT
This is a deep dive into aspects and other principles of geometric astrology. The aim here is to develop the ability to think in purely geometric terms when looking at charts.
Why is this a good idea? Because there are more questions than answers when it comes to house systems and zodiacs. This doesn’t mean that houses and zodiac signs are not valid and legitimate parts of the astrological language, but it’s amazing just how much you can get done without them. In fact, when you get into the really juicy parts of astrology, such as transits, progressions, locational astrology and synastry, you find that aspects are invariably doing most of the heavy lifting!
In this intensive course we’ll start with the basics principles involved in calculating and interpreting aspects in the birth chart, but we’ll go much further than that before the end of the course. We’ll get into life-cycles, Midpoints, minor aspects, as well as special dials and graphs (the Graphic Ephemeris) that help us to filter and manage large amounts of data to identify important factors. We’ll look into the importance of astrological geometry in the realm relationship astrology (synastry), and more.
This course could prove to be useful to astrology students at various levels, from beginners to the relatively advanced. Beginners tend to start off focussing a great deal on signs and houses and are often weaker on aspects. This course will exercise your aspect muscles and help you to use them effectively (in natal charts, transits, progressions and synastry) without crowding your thinking with less reliable concepts relating to signs and houses. For more intermediate and relatively advanced students the lessons on minor aspects, Midpoints, dials, declination and the Graphic Ephemeris could add new tools and skills to their repertoire.
